Abdulrahman was recently transferred from Virginia to Kentucky USP Big Sandy Prison. The drive took us 10 hours each way. We left Friday evening and arrived Saturday morning. We drove 2000 km to Visit Abdulrahman. The weather was very dangerous. We were able to spend 1 hour with him from behind a glass wall.
Abdulrahman has been placed in SHU. He is struggling between the safety of solitary confinement from the general population vs. the prolonged solitary confinement.
He also informed the family that he is receiving wrong medicine. Despite the family providing documents of the correct medication the prison cannot provide special medication.
